The tracks have been laid. The wreck is inevitable. We can predict the destruction, we just do not know when it will occur or how deep it will penetrate the American way of life.

The past week of Trump’s cabinet picks have been underwhelming to say the least. To say they are unqualified is a given. To fear how dangerous they will be gives me hives.

Trump is doing exactly what he said he would do. He is installing loyalists into positions of power, no matter how inexperienced or incompetent they are. What happens next is anyone’s guess. Except that it will be a variation on chaos.

Last time Trump was in power, there was a lot of talk and posturing but not a lot of concrete action. This time around it could be different since his loyalists have a little more experience with government. This means they can do more destruction, which is the point. Not to help the American people. To punish us. All of us.

We got what half the country wanted: chaos, confusion, destruction, crudeness, hatred, and retribution. Anyone who claims that wasn’t the point was not listening.

Can the trainwreck be stopped? I do not think so. The train has left the station.
